Collection: Geegee Welle
My name is Geegee, and I am an artist and designer from Victoria, B.C., Canada. I have studied drawing and painting for the majority of my life. In recent years I have turned my attention to digital illustration and design.
In my painting, I express intense emotion through limited visual information. I allow the viewer to interact freely with my work, and give them the opportunity to build their own emotional connection with the piece.
In my design/illustration, the aim is a bit different. Graphic design calls for a balance between beauty and practicality, which to me is the allure of the medium. Rather than expressing a strong emotion, I communicate a strong message while walking the fine line between elegance and rationale.
