Collection: Laveen Gammie
Laveen's work can be characterized by its colourful and tactile nature. She believes in function following form in a work. By educing viewers perception of sensation, she often involves the viewer in a way that is sometimes physical. She uses use her work to evoke a sense of play: by contesting the division between the realm of the viewer's active experience, and the realm of subliminal, creating situations that break the passivity of the spectator. Laveen wants viewers to become part of the art as a kind of added component.
