Al Hanyok
Al Hanyok is a non-binary embroidery artist working in a variety of styles from traditional embroidery to impressionist thread painting. Raised in the southern US, they took the long way to their current home in Montreal. Their work is often inspired by their immigration journey and their travels, the cycles of life and death, and their exploration as a self-taught artist in a medium often relegated to 'arts and crafts.'
